We respect your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and your rights. It meets the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). Where we serve people in the EU, it also meets the EU GDPR.

2. What we collect

We don't knowingly collect data from children under 16. We don't collect special category data, such as health information, unless it's needed (for example, an allergy you tell us about) and you give it to us.
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

We do not sell your personal data. We don't make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Who we share it with
Only as needed, and always under contract and confidentiality:
- Our cleaning teams and franchisees who carry out your booking (only the details they need)
- Payment providers: Stripe and PayPal
- IT and hosting providers that host our website, apps and CMS
- Communication providers: email, SMS, and WhatsApp (Meta) when you choose to message us there
- Professional advisers: accountants, insurers, lawyers
- Authorities, where the law requires it (for example HMRC, the police or the courts)
5. International transfers
Some providers, such as Stripe, PayPal and Meta, may process data outside the UK. When they do, we make sure your data is protected by a UK adequacy decision, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. Visitor analytics and cookies
With your consent, our analytics record your device, browser, approximate location and internet provider so we can understand how people use our site. This information doesn't identify you by name. We only link it to you if you choose to contact us or create an account. See our Cookie Policy to change your choices at any time.
7. How long we keep it

8. Keeping it safe
We protect your data with:
- encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest
- role-based access, so staff see only what their job requires
- email-link sign-in and regular security updates
- backups and staff training
If a breach occurs that is likely to put you at risk, we'll tell you and the ICO as the law requires.
9. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your personal data
- have it corrected
- have it deleted
- restrict how we use it
- object to how we use it, including all direct marketing
- data portability
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing
To use any of these rights, email contact@ukis.io. We'll respond within one month. We may ask for proof of identity first.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.

We'll post any changes here with a new "last updated" date. If a change materially affects you, we'll tell you by email or in the app.
