Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Statement
UK Instant Services Ltd, trading as Instant Cleaning UK
This statement is published voluntarily under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and follows the Home Office statutory guidance. It sets out the steps UK Instant Services Ltd takes to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains.
Our business
UK Instant Services Ltd provides domestic, commercial, end of tenancy and specialist cleaning services across the United Kingdom, directly and through franchise partners. Our main suppliers provide cleaning products, equipment, uniforms, vehicles, software and agency labour.
The risks we recognise
Cleaning is a sector where labour exploitation can occur, through debt bondage, withheld pay or documents, forced overtime, or workers controlled by third parties. We treat these as real risks and manage them actively.
Our policies
- Modern Slavery and Human Rights policy
- Recruitment and right-to-work policy
- Whistleblowing policy
- Supplier Code of Conduct
- Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policy
- Health and Safety policy
Due diligence and risk management
- Right to work: every worker's right to work is checked in person or through the Home Office online service before they start. We keep copies as the law requires.
- Pay and documents:
- all workers are paid directly into a bank account in their own name, at or above the National Living Wage
- we never charge recruitment fees
- we never hold workers' identity documents
- Spotting control by third parties: our app flags shared bank accounts, shared addresses or the same phone number used by unrelated workers. These can be signs of third-party control, and we investigate them.
- Suppliers:
- suppliers and franchisees must sign our Supplier Code of Conduct
- higher-risk suppliers, such as labour agencies, are assessed before engagement and audited regularly
- serious breaches end the relationship
- Contracts: only trained senior managers may sign them.
Training
Managers, supervisors, recruiters and franchisees are trained to spot the signs of modern slavery and to know how to report concerns. Refresher training runs every year.
Reporting concerns
Anyone can report a concern confidentially to contact@ukis.io or to the Modern Slavery & Exploitation Helpline on 08000 121 700. In an emergency, call 999.
Measuring effectiveness
Each year we review:
- right-to-work audit results
- supplier assessments completed
- training completion
- any reports received and how they were resolved
Approval
This statement was approved by the Board of UK Instant Services Ltd and is reviewed annually.
