We also prohibit unfair treatment because of part-time, fixed-term or flexible working.
How we put it into practice
- Recruitment: clear job requirements, structured interviews and fair, consistent selection. Reasonable adjustments are made for disabled applicants.
- Training and promotion: open to everyone, based on merit, with barriers identified and removed.
- Pay and benefits: fair pay for all staff. We review pay and benefits regularly for equal pay.
- Our clients: we serve everyone without discrimination, and we will not accept discriminatory requests about which staff attend a job.
- Our staff: we protect them from harassment by clients or third parties, and we'll end a booking if our staff are mistreated.
- Training: all staff are trained in equality and respect at induction and refreshed every year.
Raising concerns
Staff can raise concerns with their supervisor, any manager, or through our Grievance and Whistleblowing procedures. Concerns are treated confidentially. Anyone who raises a concern in good faith is protected from victimisation. Breaches of this policy may lead to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal.
Responsibility and review
